Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how The Forge uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep sessions secure, and help owners understand how the site is used. Similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and scripts work in comparable ways, and this policy covers them too.
2. Cookies we set ourselves
This website is a single static page with a contact form. We do not set any cookies of our own: no advertising, profiling or analytics cookies. The analytics service we use, Cloudflare Web Analytics, is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors, so this site does not need a cookie consent banner. If we add a service that places non-essential cookies in future, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for consent before those cookies are placed.
3. Third-party services used on this site
Some features are provided by third parties who may set cookies or process technical data when the page loads:
| Provider | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | Delivers the typefaces used across the site. Your IP address is processed by Google in order to serve the font files. | Functional |
| Formspree | Receives and delivers your coaching application, and applies anti-spam and abuse protection to the form. | Strictly necessary |
| Hetzner Online GmbH | Hosts the website on servers in the European Union and keeps server security and traffic logs. | Strictly necessary |
| Cloudflare | Delivers and protects the site, and provides Cloudflare Web Analytics, which produces aggregate visitor statistics. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint you and does not track you across other websites. | Strictly necessary / Analytics (cookieless) |
These providers act under their own privacy policies for the data they collect directly. We recommend reviewing them if you want the full detail.
4. Categories of cookies explained
- Strictly necessary: required for the site to work and to keep it secure. These cannot be switched off through our site.
- Functional: support presentation and features such as web fonts.
- Analytics: help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate. The analytics we use is cookieless and stores nothing on your device.
- Marketing: used to measure or target advertising. We do not currently use any.
5. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete existing ones:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Safari: Settings → Privacy
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, including the application form, from working properly.
6. Do Not Track
We do not track visitors across other websites, so no Do Not Track response is required from this site.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever we add or remove a service that uses cookies. The date at the top shows the last revision.
